75th Anniversary of The Front Page Awards

The Newswomen’s Club of New York honors excellence in journalism each year through its Front page Awards. We call for entries from newswomen in the New York metropolitan area working in print, television, radio, wires, and online media as reporters, photographers, columnists, producers, and videographers. The Front Page Awards also recognize Reporter of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

Established in 1937-38, the Front page Awards provide an opportunity to compete in a wide range of categories. These awards, among the most prestigious in journalism, are particularly meaningful because they are judged by ranking media professionals. Winners are honored at an annual black tie gala at which the awards are presented.

All 2012 contest entries must have been published, issued, broadcast or e-published between September 1, 2011 and August 31, 2012. The contest rules and entry form are attached. The fee is still only $100 per entry. http://www.newswomensclubnewyork.com/how-to-enter/

The Newswomen’s Club of New York was founded in 1922 to promote women in journalism, to help provide continuing education and networking opportunities for them, and to support the highest standards of journalism. This remains our mission in 2012, our 90th year of serving New York City’s newswomen and our industry.

We hope you will enter the 75th annual Front Page Awards and encourage other newswomen in our area to compete.

Best regards,
Toni Reinhold
President
