The 2021 “Anthony J. Causi Sports Photographer” of the year Michael Stobe gets his award from sponsor Canon Cameras

The 2021 “Anthony J. Causi” Sports Photographer of the Year winner Mike Stobe received his award the Canon R5 camera kit. Mike is a photographer who’s sports portfolio was a complete package of action images and features. He is the second recipient of the award named after Anthony J. Causi the beloved member who was taken from us all by Covid-19 in April 2020. The NYPPA board unanimously name the award after Anthony J. Causi. This is the latest winner of this award. We want to thank Canon Cameras and Elizabeth Pratt for continuing to support the NYPPA.

The NYPPA president Bruce Cotler along with NYPPA co-contest Chairperson Bill Perlman met up with a little bar-b-que at Bill’s home with the other winners of the 2021 Best in Show Al Bello and last years the 2020 Best in Show Craig Ruttle so that we were able to give out the awards. Mike was honored to receive the award for his work. “I am honored to be recognized by the New York Press Photographers Association with the “Anthony J. Causi” Sports Photographer of the Year Award. Mike also thanked all the great people at the NYPPA for organizing the annual contest, and Canon Cameras for sponsoring this year’s SPOY award.”
