Domestic Hostile Environment & First Aid Training for Photojournalists

Mark your calendars.

The Domestic Hostile Environment & First Aid Training course for journalists prepares members of the media for the hazards they may face while working in today’s dangerous situations. The NYPPA and Crisis Ready Media will be sponsoring this two day course on December 11 and 12 location to be announced shortly.

Members of NYPPA are being given a special price of $50 per person to take part in this course. The course will prepare journalists for hostile situations at protests, climate disasters and other incidents. Many media companies are requiring journalists they send to take the course to protect their personnel and for insurance requirements.

The cost covers lab fees, an individual First Aid Kit and all documentation that will help teach each participant how to deal with these difficult and dangerous situations that have only gotten worse with deployment of National Guard to many cities.

Over two intensive days, participants will be given hands-on instruction in safety, security, digital risk, mental resilience and trauma first aid training.
