His daughter writes:It is with great sadness and heavy heart that we said goodbye yesterday to the greatest man Bill Turnbull Sr..Wonderful husband to my mother Giovanna Turnbull, father to me, Bill Turnbull and Frank Turnbull. Beloved father-in-law to Lisa Taiano-Turnbull and David DeMartin. The greatest grandpa to Nicole Turnbull, Billy Turnbull, Cara DeMartin, Kristina De Martin, Alexa Turnbull, John Turnbull and Julia Turnbull. Professional dancer, paratrooper in the 82nd airborne, motorcycle racer and award winning Daily News photojournalist for 35 years. He will leave a hole in all our lives that will never be filled. He was our hero. May the angels lead him in.
