Witness to Tragedy and Recovery Exhibit

Reuters photo by Gary HershornYou are cordially invited to a visual journalism night of remembrance, symposium and reception for a photo exhibit, exploring the impact of media images of the 9-11 World Trade Center attack and recovery.

This FREE event (registration required) will welcome the hundreds of journalists from throughout the world who will converge on New York City for the 10th anniversary of the attacks on our country.

A panel of photographers, videographers, psychologists and other scholars will analyze the effects and lessons of news images of disasters for both the public and ourselves.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER – Aaron Brown, former CNN Anchor, PBS anchor “Wide Angle,” Professor, Walter Cronkite School of Journalism, Arizona State University

MODERATOR – Michelle Charlesworth, WABC-TV News reporter & weekend anchor

The exhibit, curated by Bolivar Arellano Gallery, will feature photos and multi-media presentations by more than 30 visual journalists in the Michael Schimmel Center for the Arts at Pace University in downtown Manhattan.
