Membership
Our Constitution provides for three types of membership:
A Regular Member is a still or television photographer working regularly for recognized daily newspapers, wire services, magazines, picture agencies and television news organizations who has been on the street for at least one year in New York City.
An Associate Member (non-voting) is someone (active or inactive) from a related field (sales reps, public relations, editors, etc.) who wishes to support the organization and join in the social activities.
A Student Member does not meet Regular member status, but may participate in all functions of the Association except hold an elective office or chair a committee, however, they can compete in the annual photo contest.
Currently the dues are $85 per year for Regular and Associate Members and $40 per year for Life Members. If you are a student, you may become a member of this organization at the special introductory rate of $35 per year.
