The NYPPA sends its condolences to friend and colleague, Chris Olert of Con Edison

Members of the New York Press Photographers Association sends its condolences to friend and colleague, Con Edison's Chris Olert, whose wife, Sheila O'Mara-Olert, passed away this past Friday.  Chris Olert has been integral to the association's gallery openings through the support and sponsorship of Con Edison.

Details of his wife's memorial are written below.

Sheila O'Mara-Olert of Warwick, (formerly of Staten Island) died on June 3, 2011 at Schervier Pavilion.

Born in Manhattan, NY, she was the daughter of the late Thomas F. and Margaret (Crowley) O’Mara.

She was married to F. Christopher Olert.

Sheila was an Editor, and a Real Estate Agent with Raynor Country Realty, Warwick.  She was a member of St. Stephens RC Church, Warwick.  She was a director of publications/public relations at Wagner Collage.  She also was an aide to SI Borough President Ralph Lambert.

She is survived by her husband, F. Christopher Olert, of Warwick; her brothers:  Thomas O’Mara of East Hampton, Christopher O’Mara of Warwick, and Joseph O’Mara of East Hampton; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 7th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Avenue, Warwick.  Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Wednesday at St. Stephens RC Church.
